2018-Present - Lead RN/ Staff Nurse ENPC, TNCC, NRP, SANE

In a busy ER I care for critically ill patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to save lives and provide resources to patients. Caring for patients with STEMIs, CVAs, DKA, regnancy, behavioral health issues, and assisting with transferring for a higher level of care. I train new employees and nursing students. I administer life-saving medications and treatments. Perform assessments, start IVs, cardiac monitoring, provide education to patients and their families. Provide emotional and grieving support for families after a death.

2014-2018 Registered Nurse/ Staff Nurse TNCC, SANE

In a level 1 Trauma Center I cared for critically ill patients and collaborate with multi
disciplinary team to save lives. Caring for patients from MVCs, Cardiac Arrest, Stroke, Heart attacks, pregnancy, diabetic complications, and trauma. I access ports, administer life-saving medications, provide education to patients and their families, perform assessments, starting IVs, cardiac monitoring, and provide culturally competent and diverse care for patients. I am SANE trained. I complete SA kits, provide emotional and medical care to sexual assault victims, domestic violence victims, and monitor for human trafficking signs in patients.

2013-2014 Registered Nurse/Staff Nurse Solid Organ Transplant Unit

In a high acuity transplant unit, I cared for patients in all stages of the transplant process. From transplant workup, newly transplanted, and post-transplant. I also cared for post-surgical patients. Administered IV medications. Performed sterile dressing changes for PICC and CVC lines. Hourly I&O and surgical monitoring. Cardiac monitoring. Promote and ensure safety measures for patients and families. Collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for transplant and surgical patients. Patient education for home care and medications.

Education

2021-present MSN-F 

I am currently enrolled for forensic nursing. I am projected to graduate in fall of 2024 with my Masters of Science in Nursing in Forensics.

2016-present SANE 40 hour online training

In this course I learned how to perform an SA kit and provide care to sexually assaulted victims,
domestic violence victims, and be aware of human trafficking signs. I learned the forensics of
evidence collection and procedures with state laws and chain of command.

2012-present OHHS, NE EMT-B Training.

In this course, I am learning the importance of life-saving assessments and treatments in
prehospital care.

2007-2011 Bachelors of Science of Nursing 

I completed clinical rotations in the following areas: General Medical, oncology, progressive
care, ICU, ER, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, long term care facilities, home health care,
inpatient mental health facilities, pediatrics, and 192 hours of preceptorship in the NICU at
Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Volunteer

2020-Present EMS Coordinator, Scholarship Manager Volunteer Fire Department

On the local volunteer fire department, I created and implemented the Connie Kruger
Scholarship for cadets and active members of the fire department. I oversee the scholarship
process and interview candidates and manage the scholarship members. I do chart audits and
maintain medication policies for the department to keep them up to state policies/standards.

2012-2019 EMS Capitan Firefighter, EMT Volunteer Fire Department

On my local rural volunteer fire department, I respond to fire, trauma, MVAs, and medical calls.
Performing assessments, providing life-saving treatments and medications. I supervise charting,
ensuring that EMS policies and procedures are up to date. Provide education and training on
EMS competencies.
